Brian’s passion for aviation ignited early, leading him to purchase his second aircraft by the age of 20. By 26, Brian had already completed over 100 aircraft transactions. In 2000, Brian relocated from Northern Virginia to Florida with his wife, Christina, and their son, Michael. There, he gained invaluable experience working alongside one of the pioneers in corporate jet sales, which inspired him to launch Valor Jets. Within just two years of its inception, Valor achieved the #1 worldwide ranking for corporate jet transactions, cementing Brian’s reputation as a leader in the industry.
With over 25 years of experience, Brian is a third-generation aviator, a seasoned pilot, a trusted advisor, an appraiser to large financial institutions, and an authority in aviation sales and acquisitions. His deep industry knowledge, innovative approach, and commitment to personalized service have earned him a loyal global client base.
The Paul family’s aviation story began in 1943 with Brian’s grandfather, Ira Paul II, who graduated from flight training at Clarksdale Air Base in Mississippi. During World War II, Ira flew B-29 bombers over the Himalayas (“The Hump”) and survived a harrowing engine fire, parachuting over India and trekking through the jungle for two weeks. His parachute was later repurposed into his bride’s wedding dress—a testament to the family’s resilience and ingenuity. Ira also flew critical bombing missions over Tokyo from Tinian, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and five Air Medals for his bravery.
Brian’s father, Colonel Ira Paul III, carried on the family’s distinguished legacy, forging an exceptional career in the U.S. Air Force. After completing pilot training, he was assigned to the KC-135, amassing over 5,500 flight hours, including combat missions during the Vietnam conflict. In 1987, he set an impressive 16 time-to-climb world records in the KC-135R. Among his many remarkable achievements, he was a member of the first aircrew to land a C-141 on the Pegasus ice runway in Antarctica under white-out conditions. Throughout his career, he also served as a mentor and instructor to a generation of pilots, maintaining an impeccable safety record with zero incidents.
Brian’s love for aviation was ignited at the age of seven while on leave with his family aboard a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker. En route to Hawaii, he witnessed an F-15 refueling mid-air from the boom operator’s station—an extraordinary moment that cemented his passion for the skies. Growing up on various Air Force bases across the U.S., Brian developed the ability to connect with people from all walks of life—a skill that has been instrumental in his career.
At age 19, Brian earned his pilot’s license while balancing college, flight school, and two jobs. Thinking he was destined to become a corporate pilot, Brian purchased his first aircraft at age 20, securing the necessary loans himself. While still in school, Brian worked as a market researcher for a prominent Washington, D.C. firm specializing in long-range business jets. It was during this time that he discovered his true passion for aviation sales and began making his mark on the industry.
Now, with decades of experience, Brian Paul has transformed Valor Jets into a globally recognized leader in corporate aviation. Known for his strategic insight, innovative mindset, and dedication to building lasting client relationships, Brian continues to redefine the industry standard.
